🐉 Dragon Doo and Hippo Hugh – Illustrated by Stork Majgaard

The other half of the exhibition features Stork Majgaard’s imaginative illustrations for Svend-Erik Engh’s original English-language story. Meet Dragon Doo, Hippo Hugh, and Elephant E—colorful characters with strong personalities and heartwarming tales. Majgaard’s free, playful, and imaginative style perfectly complements stories that navigate between the poetic and the absurd. The story is available in both English and Danish versions.

📚 Danish Folktales – Illustrated by Tea Bendix

One half of the exhibition showcases illustrations from Svend-Erik Engh’s book Danish Folktales(History Press, 2023). Tea Bendix’s visual interpretations bring new dimensions to these stories—quirky, dark, and magical. These works have previously captivated audiences at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh and can now be experienced at Kunstsmedjen in Roskilde. Visitors can listen to the stories on their mobile phones in both English and Danish.
